The Deposit Operations Officer is responsible for overseeing the Deposit Operations and Account Services departments including developing objectives policies, and procedures for those areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages the administration of the bank’s deposit operations and account services functions, ensuring compliance to the Bank’s policy, legal and government rules and regulations by establishing, monitoring, and maintaining policies.

Oversees Deposit Operations and Account Services staff assigning or delegating responsibilities .

Coaches, develops and inspires staff to maximize their potential. Ensures timely transaction processing and adherence to policies and procedures.

Prepares reports and participates in planning and budgeting processes.  Recommends program changes to more efficiently and effectively support services offered .

Participates in the research and development of new products, processing methods and/or concepts that could increase efficiencies, reduce expense, increase earning or enhance the quality of product/services delivered to customers and provides extreme customer service by establishing and developing goodwill, providing services and responding to problems and inquires.

Stays informed of innovations in the banking and service industries and evaluates their application in assigned area. Directs research into new concepts and/or products that could increase efficiencies and earnings .

Resolves complex work and procedural problems and acts as resource to senior management regarding operational issues

Facilitates the development and implementation of new departmental procedures and policies as mandated by industry regulations, and internal and external changes. Position specific compliance and other trainings as required .

Requirements:

Minimum: Associates degree or equivalent required plus five years operations experience and three years of managerial experience and accounting experience. Overall knowledge of bank operations procedures and operational knowledge of equipment and applicable software in the Operations Department and knowledge of bank compliance and documentation requirements. Executive level of communication skills and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Must have computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel). Preferred: Bachelor degree or equivalent and seven years of managerial operations experience in a banking or related environment
