Loan Servicing Clerk REQ#4513

Full Time at Citizens First Bank

This position is responsible for providing quality customer service relating to mortgage loan activity. This position will cross-train in all servicing areas but may be focused in one specific area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist homeowners with information requested through inbound calls and walk-in customers.

Contact customers by phone or written correspondence and maintain accurate records of all communication .

Post loan payments, payoffs and daily deposits.

Daily cash reconciliation to ensure funds are processed and balanced accurately.

Ensure that all rejects, bank returns and misapplied funds are identified, researched and resolved.

Board new loans, set up ACH/EFT payments and assist with making collection calls for delinquent loans .

Prepare payoff statements and assist with loan modifications with principal reductions .

Provide escrow analysis explanations, analyze escrow accounts and assist with disbursements of MI, taxes and homeowners insurance .

Monitor non-escrow accounts for payment verifications.

Research tax and insurance refunds, non-renewals and cancellation notices.

Imaging and verification of loan related documents.

Position specific compliance and other trainings as required.

Requirements:

Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent required plus one year experience in mortgage and customer service with emphasis on mortgages and payment processing experience. Must be detail oriented, able to comprehend and accurately execute company policies, procedures and follow investor guidelines. Must be able to meet deadline and be able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary internal and external customer service. Must have computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, keyboarding skills and ten-key calculator.

Preferred: Five years of mortgage servicing
