Full Time at Citizens First Bank

This position is responsible for underwriting loans in a timely manner and ensuring Investor guidelines are met for delivery. This position adheres to Citizens First Bank policy and procedures.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Pre-underwrite loans to identify any potential qualifying issues early in the process.

Completes a full review of the credit report.

Reviews the loan file to ensure accurate income and asset calculations.

Reviews the loan file for compliance with Investor and Portfolio guidelines.

Provides support to internal partners regarding underwriting questions and adherence to guidelines.

Keeps current on any updates to Investor lending requirements.

Oversees the file process to make sure supporting documents are received and reviewed in a timely manner and to ensure closing deadlines are met.

Resolves any internal and external audit findings utilizing the support of the Underwriting Manager.

Position specific compliance and other trainings as required .

Requirements:

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of three years of processing and/or underwriting experience or a combination of education and experience. Must be detailed oriented with the ability to analyze financial statements inclusive of income and asset statements. Must be able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, ability to write routine correspondence, communicate effectively with internal and external customers and work well independently and be a team player. Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and have accurate keyboarding skills.

Preferred: Three-five years of underwriting experience
