The primary function of Systems Administrator is to supervise and assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the banks technology infrastructure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide support for the installation and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange, SQL and SharePoint .

Investigate, troubleshoot and identify unusual or complex issues which may impact day-to-day operations .

Install or upgrade servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements .

Optimize the functionality, performance, and security of all servers and associated components to ensure overall reliability .

Maintain the bank’s VMware/Veeam virtual server systems and all associated DR backups . Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities .

Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required . Work with vendors in the implementation and management of their systems in the bank.

Works directly and assists the bank’s VP of Information Technology in all projects as required  Assist with the completion of appropriate form(s) when parts are defective or break (RMA) .

Assist with the proper disposal of unused or retired PC hardware and peripherals  Compliance and other trainings as required.


Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent experience required as well as one other certification (i.e. Network +, A +, MCSA) or other area of expertise.  Mastery of PC software, hardware components, operating systems and applications, networking principles, hardware peripherals and Microsoft’s Active Directory structure.  3+ years of hands on experience with Active Directory (AD), specifically with configuring Group Policy in a large enterprise environment. 3+ years supporting various versions of Microsoft Operating Systems, server 2008, 2012 and 2016

Experience with Exchange 2010 /SQL Server 2008 or newer. Patch management, AV/spyware deployment and web filtering deployment in a corporate environment . Strong attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team .  Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to work under pressure to be able to solve complex problems or procedures.  Flexible work schedule (ability to work overtime, if needed).  Must have excellent customer service, teamwork and communication skills.


Associates degree in related studies plus 5 or more years of experience as a Systems Administrator supporting Microsoft Server products.
