The Personal Lines Executive Manager leads and manages the Personal Lines Division to ensure client satisfaction and firm profitability as well as being responsible for the planning, organizing, operational and business development of the Business Segment.

Qualifications:

Possess the ability to cast vision, develop strategies and tactics, and create positive motivation for business segment colleagues

Has a high level of technical insurance knowledge, is organized, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Provides 5+ years of experience in personal insurance. College degree and professional designations preferred: or equivalent education and experience.

Proven leadership experience with 2+ years’ experience managing staff.  Inspires, motivates, and develops direct reports.  Encourages transparent dialogue and can manage difficult conversations.

Creates a cohesive team environment that gives colleagues a sense of meaning and communicates the business segment vision

Displays ability to lead fast growing teams creating a proven track record to increase sales in an evolving economic environment

Ability to build internal and external relationships and develop long term strategic partnerships

Maintains all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance (220)

Demonstrates firm’s core values, exuding behavior that is aligned with TVIP’s culture

Major Responsibilities:

Create, establish and manage Business Segment strategies and plan to ensure that overall business goals, profitability, and retention goals are met in an environment conducive to sales

Effectively coach, mentor, manage and assist in the professional development of Personal Lines Managers and Colleagues

Manage to the targeted financial performance metrics of the Business Segment

Maintain positive relationships with appropriate insurance company partner representatives through proper contacts and effective communication.  Work with other marketing colleagues on specific business plans with select markets in order to maximize client experience

Ensure high levels of client service and satisfaction by improving ongoing service delivery and business development.  Works with Personal Lines management team to resolve client issues

Maintain a desirable mix of business and energetically assist service colleagues and advisors in rounding out of accounts

Stay up to date regarding insurance technical knowledge, market trends, firm automation and information, and other operating techniques

Partner with TVIP leadership to provide ongoing strategic insight and planning around financial performance, growth and overall success

Align with TVIP leadership to develop a strategic plan to advance TVIP’s mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, community support and growth as an organization

Drive business unit operations to insure efficiency, quality, service and cost-effective management of resources

Evaluate and refine sales and service strategy, in order to enhance the client experience and increase sales velocity and client retention

Build and sustain a high performance culture through attracting, developing, and retaining a highly motivated and effective sales, service and support team.  Inspire loyalty and commitment necessary to maintain motivated, productive, and competent colleagues

Review key performance indicators, activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions

Establish , gain approval, and ensure the development of the annual business unit operating budgets

Represent the firm at industry groups, insurer meetings, and at formal events

Look for opportunities to improve the firm, business segment and processes.  Bring issues and discrepancies to appropriate leadership
